Don't smudge? I hold my pencils fairly retardedly, like...not how you write, so I use the side and do it really lightly with the harder pencils. I only use HB for the outlines and really, really light stuff, then switch to 2B and 4B. But then again, I've never had an art class, so I wouldn't know what's right and what's wrong. I'd check out my friend Pentagramica for that sort of thing, if you're interested.

Beautifully done, I like the way you did the shading. ^^

I completely agree, one of the few that looks remotely male. The one of the characters (seen so far)for FFXIV also seems to resemble a male. XD
